The Picardie and Mon copain brands have been developped for Canada's wild birds and domestic birds. We hold the FSSC 22000 standard certification.

We are one of the few companies in the production of bird food to be FSSC 22000 certified.
Our history
A family business since 1920
1992
1998
The purchase of the first warehouse of the small company in Batiscanaise, located in Quebec, saw the day to proceed with the screening of sunflower and to begin the bagging of various products.
1999
2000-2005
2008
The company starts to produce tallow and a new 10,000 square foot plant for the production of tallow is built.
2011

2013
As the current warehouse is not adapted to the demand, an expansion of the main warehouse of 15,000 square feet is necessary to meet the growing demand.
2014
The acquisition of 400 more acres of farmland, as well as a new packaging line sees the light of day in 2014.
2016

2017

2019
Increased the number of silos to a total of 22. This equals 6 ,000 tons of bulk storage, plus a new packing line, for a total of 10 packing lines.
2020
A new demand is emerging on the market, which is the production of hay for rodents. The company seized the opportunity and decided to add an arrow to its bow with the appearance of the hay factory which totals 6 000 square feet. The plant has been meeting the demand for private label products and products for Picardie ever since.
In addition, we have obtained the GFSI quality standard certification, FSSC22000, which very few companies have in this market.
2021
2021 will be a big year for investment with a 15 ,000 square foot expansion of a new warehouse with the addition of 4 new shipping doors, a new automated blending system, as demand continues to grow, plus an addition of 1 ,500 tons of bulk grain storage.
To this day
We are at 1 600 acres of cultivated land, which is equivalent to 900 soccer fields.
At 66,000 square feet for our 3 warehouses.
36 Silos, therefore 7 500 tons of storage.
Today, the tallow factory manufactures in large volume for the brands My Buddy, Picardie and many other private brands. In short, enough to treat all our Quebec birds and other small animals!
Future vision
In the near future, an additional 14,000 square feet of space will be added to the tallow line to double productivity.
